They set out from Rameses on the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the Passover the Israelites[a] went out boldly[b] in the sight[c] of all the Egyptians while the Egyptians were burying all the firstborn among them whom Yahweh struck. Yahweh also executed punishments among their gods.

Then the Israelites[d] set out from Rameses, and they camped in Succoth.
